Comments:

Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort was voted Best Luxury Motorcoach Resort on RV Share and received a Reader’s Choice Silver Award from Motorhomes Magazine, which is not surprising. All the sites are privately owned except for one which was for sale when we visited. It was all the way in the back corner of the property and can be yours for $124,900.

The resort is well managed and maintained, and the staff are all very friendly. Hilton Head Island seems to be the golf capital of the east coast, but there’s lots of other things to do here if you’re like me and don’t play golf. The island is full of good restaurants and any kind of shopping you may want to do. However, it’s the direct opposite of the outer banks, instead of miles of visible shopping, you have numerous enclaves hidden in the trees.

As for other attractions such as museums and historical places, not so much, which is probably why we wouldn’t come back to the island unless I started playing golf again (which is doubtful because of my back issue).

All in all, if you play golf, or like to sit on the beach, it’s worth the $$$ to stay at HHIMR.
