Comments:

This is difficult campground to assess since on face value the park is nothing out of the ordinary. However, since taking over in 2019, the owner has been continually upgrading the place. Once he completes his “master plan” this is going to be the best RV park in the Laurel area. Hopefully at some point he will bring in cable TV. While the WIFI is decent for a campground, the lack of satellite (too many trees) and OTA reception, is one of their downfalls.

Laurel is only four miles away and has sufficient restaurants and shopping. Just make sure you check out the restaurants operating hours. There are some that are really strange – Open at 10 closes at 2, close 4PM on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and 9 PM Thursday and Friday. Most restaurants are closed on Sunday and Monday.

If you do come to the area, you need to go to Pearl’s Diner, they’re open 11 – 2 Tuesday through Saturday. They have some real good southern fried chicken.

And of course, what Laurel is all about, HGTV’s Home Town. Take the Bolton tour and see the houses Ben and Erin renovated!
