Comments:
This is a Holiday KOA, and I was looking forward to staying here after our last two “Journey” parks. My reservation specifically said Sites # 81-86 Long and wide DELUXE pull thrus have patios, big yards, double electric and sewer hookups, and cable TV. These BIG RIG friendly sites will fill up fast.
The campground map isn’t really accurate since it shows Pheasant Run as a through lane, however, site 72 is actually at the end and when occupied, which was most of the time, the four of us on the end were right on top of each other. It’s so tight that when the Class A towing a small pickup left this morning, he had to have spotters on both sides, so he didn’t hit anything on the way out. For the cost, there’s really no reason for this.
Also, this campground is busy, and usually full every night. They’re definitely making money, but it doesn’t appear they are using any of it to maintain the property. The patios and furniture could use some updating. They do have kids out cutting the grass, which is more than the KOA in Rawlins Wyoming did.
Bottom line – if we were back in this area, I wouldn’t spend the extra $$$ on a patio site. It’s just not worth it.
