Comments:
Being this is a KOA Journey; we weren’t expecting much based on past experiences. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The campground is well maintained, and the staff is always friendly. This is a “tiered” campground, which is nice because you don’t feel like you’re right on top of your neighbor. We reserved the only pull through patio at the campground, which gave us more than enough room. The utilities are all good, water pressure was steady during our entire stay. Power did go out one day but that was due to a storm (high winds, rain and tornado watch) and affected the entire local area. Good thing we have a generator.
We will come back to this area so that we can visit Floyd’s Country Store again. And when we do, we will definitely come back here. Although we probably wouldn’t reserve the patio site since the regular pull through have enough room to meet our needs.

Thanks for another great campground review. We had a very enjoyable stay there a few years ago. We had one of the back in sites with a patio area up a few steps behind the site. I was doing Laundry in the laundry room when a bad thunderstorm came through and we lost power. It is a great location to explore that section of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
