Comments:
This is a KOA Resort that has a lot of outside attractions connected to it. (Diamond mines across the street, Erie Canal cruises, local restaurant) As far as the campground being a “resort”, that’s another story. Yes, the staff is always friendly and helpful, but the interior roads need some work to fix potholes and water ponding. Also, no trash pickup but the dumpster is conveniently located near the office. Lastly, be aware, the pull-in deluxe patio sites are not big rig friendly. There was no way we could get into our original site and was given a back in instead. Still with the back in, the curb side was right up against the patio, and with the side open on the driver’s side, we only had three inches to spare before we hit the power box which is shared by the site next to us. Luckily, no one was assigned to the spot next to us, if there was, we would be able to reach over and knock on their window and ask if they had a Grey Poupon (late 80’s mustard commercial).
All in All, if we were back in the area, we would probably try a different campground in the area.
