We recently made a trip to visit family in Beacon New York and stayed at our first KOA campground.
Beacon is a charming little city (pop. 15,000+) located on the Hudson River, an hour and a half south of Albany, and an hour north of New York City. It’s only a little over 4.5 square miles, and has a cute main street filled with eclectic shops and restaurants.

We stayed the weekend at the New York City North/Newburgh KOA. This was our first time staying at a KOA and although we didn’t use the park amenities, it seemed as though there was a lot going on and the staff was very busy leading activities.

Since we were busy visiting with family, we didn’t get a chance to check out the Cafe and Wine Shop at the campground. We’ll make sure we do that the next time we stay here when we come back to view the fall foliage.
Until next time, Safe Travels!
