It really started a few years ago when I has an assignment to assess a couple RV parks in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
It was an easy assignment, after all an RV park is just a property with a bunch of parking spots that have utility hook-ups.
At the time, I thought it was a pretty cool lifestyle, but after returning home and back to life’s treadmill, I soon forgot about the experience.
It wasn’t until a few weeks later when Debbie and I were sitting down one evening, enjoying a cocktail after a long hard day, that the memory popped back into my head and we started talking about our “dream” of living in a motorhome full time and traveling around the country.
It was only a dream at this point because we knew nothing about RV’s of motorhomes (we never been camping), and we knew nothing about traveling the country because in the twenty years we’ve been married, we’ve only taken two vacations.
What we did know was we needed a change. There has to be more to life than just working to pay a mortgage.
