Weather: Sunny, high 70s

We left Joe Wheeler State Park a day before we were supposed to because of the severe weather forecasted for our travel day. The weather was perfect today, unfortunately the traffic gods weren’t playing nice. We got stuck in a backup on Route 65 north in Tennessee. Two hours to move only four miles, and then, to only hit rush hour traffic in Nashville. It took seven hours to travel 200 miles. Although I guess it was better than having to travel during severe weather and tornado warnings.
Sadly, though it rained the first two days we were here, and the third day was all day snow showers (no accumulation).
We’ll be here a month, from what we saw so far it looks like a nice place and it’s only two miles outside of Mammoth Cave National Park. Lots of adventuring planned.
