Comments:
The campground has 235 sites which the majority is full time residents or seasonal campers. The sites are tightly placed together, and you share the water with your neighbor. Which would be ok if there was substantial water pressure, but with only 40psi it’s a problem. Another issue is the sewer connection. PA law requires the use of a sewer ring or other means to prevent sewer gases from escaping into the air. That’s not a problem, as long as the campground has something more than a non-threaded pipe sticking out of the ground (too high for good flow). The connections are also at the back of the sites, so bring a lot of extensions. Our sewer was 35’, and water was 50’. Oh, be prepared, when sharing the water your connection could be on the wrong side.
Lastly, be very sure you want to stay here when you make your reservation. They do not, under any circumstance, give refunds.
So, after a week staying here, I’m still trying to figure it out how they got an 8.5/9.5/9.0 Good Sam rating.
As for Carlisle, it’s a really nice town with a lot of restaurants and grocery stores, which made our week very enjoyable.

There are many uncontrollable cercumstances at this time. You had a campsite, pool, games, mini golf and the friendliest staff. Just off 81 and for these times, it’s a relaxing time
@Love RV, sounds like you were, or have been there. I’m not sure what uncontrollable circumstances you are referring to, Yes we had a campsite that we paid for. Games and mini golf are not amenities we care about. Friendliest staff is a stretch. What circumstances are controllable is the shared water at 40psi, and the lack of a standard sewer connection to adhere to the PA regulations. As for a relaxing time, we’ve been on the road full time for close to four years and visited over 100 campgrounds. We just call it as we see it.
