Wright Brothers Memorial

About two miles from our campsite at OBX is the Wright Brothers National Memorial. Since it was so close, I couldn’t leave without checking it out. The entrance fee is only $7.00 which makes it a cheap history lesson.

  1. Love it there. When we moved to Aladama in 1986, we took our 4 year old daughter there for a weekend, knowing it’d be decades before we’d get back. I made some home movies using a VHS tape. It had our daughter’s first 4 years of her life on it. Sadly, we accidentally taped over it all! So guess we’ll take our grandson there next summer when he’s 4 and do a replay!

    1. Sounds like a plan Debbie. I’m sure your grandson will have a great time, especially the sculptures. If you are in the area I recommend OBX campground. Great place, great staff, and comparable in costs to the other campgrounds in the area.
      Safe travels!
